I'm feeling:: relaxed
My life doesn't change much from day to day.

Let's see. I finished school. Graduated, kinda. Didn't go to graduation, but did graduate.

I have a certification review course I'm taking over the summer, but it doesn't involve grades. Just lots of info to prepare for the test.

Our schedule changed at work so we now have Wednesdays and Thursdays off. This is the first weekday weekend I've had in a while. We took the car to get it's oil changed and an engine steam cleaning, (free, woot), walked to breakfast (challah french toast, yum), wandered through a local book/antique store (bought dragonslayer, the novelization, yay), walked home, and now I'm sitting in front of the fan because it's cool, but humid here.

My parents came to visit, that was fun, but exhausting. Went up to Mt Hood and discovered that June is still snowy. Heh. Had some fantastic pizza, though.

Started playing some of the old and new point and click adventure games I love. Played through DOTT (Day of the Tentacle), started both Sam and Max Season 1 and Myst 4. Concentrating on Myst for now, Sam and Max can wait. I also have Mysterious Journey II, Dreamfall, Keepsake, Runaway and CSI to play through. As well as: for PS3: Infamous, echochrome, RockBand 2 (though I need a guitar controller, I only got the drums and now I want to branch out) Ratchet and Clank, and Assassins' Creed. For PS2: Playing through FFXII, God of War. For WII: deBlob, wii fit and House of the Dead.

Cam's fixing the edger so we can cut the grass today. Don't wanna.

Got the Heroes Volume 1 Graphic Novel for $5 at work. That's gonna be my read after I finish Paloma by Kristine Katherine Rusch. Great series, by the way. I recommend it to everyone.

Applying for jobs, slowly. Can't get a job without experience, can't get experience without a job. :(

Still madly in crush with my icon.

My dad is getting into science fiction. He likes mysteries and police procedural type books, so I recommended the Rusch series, and a book by Adam-Troy Castro that's really good. Also, the robot series by Asimov. Any other suggestions?

May have solved some employee problems at work. Well, they are getting solved, but not by me. :)

Updating the work website, too. Luckily, I don't have to actually do any of the updating, we just dream up what we want and get the professionals to do it. Whee.

I'm off to pick more cherries from the tree out back. They are fantastic right now!

The first three* people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- What I create will be with you in mind.
- It'll be done this year.
- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be wood. Possibly metal. Perhaps a picture. Something written. I might sew you something. Or, I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you put this in your journal as well. We all can make stuff.

*I had to lessen it. I'm freaking BUSY.

So, we worked 2 and a half days last week.

We've been snowed into the house since Friday. We're going to try to make it into work today.

Nope. Didn't happen. We got 30 feet before we got stuck and then the chains fell off the car.

Sigh.

OMG SNOW.

We're really socked in up here.

The road we usually take to work is closed because of 8 foot snow drifts. Geezums.

We're in for the weekend, and probably monday too. This will be a VERY small paycheck. We only worked 2 and a half days last week.

We'll see.

Off to keep the cats warm.

Snow day!

My boss called yesterday and let me know that work wasn't starting until 9 and ending at 2. We can't even walk to our car it's so icy, so we're taking the day.

Hopefully we can get out tomorrow.

Though, if we were in Kansas, this wouldn't even be a blip on the snow/ice radar. Here it's end-of-the-world 2008.

Awesome. Though, really freaking cold.

We moved stuff today.

We moved all the stuff from room A into room B, then all the stuff from room B into room A.

This created a little theater room that is freaking awesome.

This also created a larger space for our computers, which is where we spend most of our time anyway.

I will post pictures as soon as we get some more batteries for the camera.

Thanksgiving was awesome. Almost all of the side dishes are gone, though. We did get a 20 pound turkey for the two of us, so there's plenty of that left.

I experimented with the yams this year and they came out FANTASTIC. I took two huge yams, cleaned them, then cut off the weird ugly ends.

Sprayed yams with Pam, then baked them at 450 for an hour. Peeled them from their skins, whipped them in the mixer with brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Dumped them into a 8x8 pan, put more brown sugar and butter on top and baked them for 15 minutes at 400.

They are great. I'm going to make them all the time now.
